Before I get started I would like to apoligize to Mr. McMeekin for misspelling his name in one of my earlier posts. He seemed to be a little upset when he read over my blog post "PEEZie POWER" and found that I completely misspelled his name.
Today I found the last of my terms for the police officers, and im ready to start the next assignment, but before I move on I need to put a little more thought into my questions. I worked with McMeekin and thought about my questions a little bit, but I would like to think about them more.

Fire Fighter Terms
- Probie - rooki fire fighter
- Plug - Fire hydrant
- Vollie - volunteer fire fighters
- Voids – Enclosed portions of a building where fires can spread undetected.
- Stretch – command to lay out and connect the fire hose and nozzle.
- Wild fire – Fire in forest, grasslands, or prairies.
- Under Control - The fire or incident is still at hand but is no longer spreading.
- SAR – Search and Rescue - Entering a fire building or collapse zone for an orderly search for victims and removal of live victims.
- Class K: A fire involving cooking oils. Technically, this is a subclass of Class B.
- Class D: A fire involving metals, such as sodium, titanium, Magnesium, Potassium, uranium, lithium, plutonium, and calcium.
- Class C: An electrical fire.
- Class B: A fire involving hydrocarbons.
- Class A: A fire involving combustibles such as wood, paper, and other natural materials.
- Backdraft – smoke builds up in an area and depletes available air.
